Human Resources Manager – Sterling, CO  

Trinidad Benham Corporation, a national leader in the consumer food products industry, is seeking a Human Resources Manager in our Sterling, CO manufacturing plant.  This is a hands-on one person department and a full-time generalist position.  Responsibilities include assisting in recruitment, hiring, payroll, and benefits administration. This position will be responsible for providing assistance to employees and maintaining a high level of confidentiality.  This individual will be expected to answer questions related to HR policies and procedures and possess knowledge of federal and state regulations.  
        

Responsibilities:     

·    Weekly payroll processing & reporting.      

·    Maintain employee personnel files and other required record keeping.      

·    Benefits Administration including new hire enrollment, annual enrollment and COBRA administration.     

·    Working with employees on administrative issues and performance issues; participating in terminations.     

·    Recruitment:  Understand new business and staffing needs for immediate and long range recruitment.  Develop long range plans and deploy recruitment strategies.  Screen and interview applicants, assist with new hire paperwork and orientation. Manage all recruiting and staffing initiatives; screen and counsel line managers in final selections and compensation.       

·    Providing guidance and training to the management team on how to handle employee and HR related issues. Coach management team in the areas of performance counseling, employee retention, policy interpretation and implementation and conflict resolution.     

·    Oversee safety management within the plant by providing new hire and monthly training to all personnel, routine safety audits, accident investigation and reporting, maintaining compliance documentation and postings.     

·    Oversee and drive annual performance review process.       

·    Streamline local human resources processes to maximize efficiency and effectiveness within the department.     

      

Qualifications:     

·    Bachelors degree or equivalent training/experience      

·    Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated experience working well with all levels within the organization.      

·    Experience working in manufacturing or plant environment      

·    Ability to multi-task and problem solve     

·    High level of proficiency with Excel, Word, & Outlook; payroll processing software      

·    Ability to keep information confidential     

·    Strong organizational skills; detail oriented with follow up     

·    Knowledge of all applicable laws required     

·    Bilingual in Spanish and English highly preferred

Senior Compensation Analyst, Nelnet

Purpose: Working with minimal supervision, supports and recommends the development and administration of reward programs, policies and procedures and assists in defining the strategic direction that aligns with the compensation philosophy and drives achievement. Builds partnerships and provides compensation expertise to  HR generalists, program management and other key stakeholders to ensure effective program communication and administration
  

Essential Functions:   

-  Administer base and variable pay programs and ensure legal compliance. Analyze data to determine and recommend pay structure and salary increase movements Manage market analysis process and compensation surveys  

-  Lead role in developing analytical and reporting systems and administration processes.  

-  Model plan costs for annual budgeting, year-end purposes and compensation delivery.  

-  Serve as an internal consultant to the organization on compensation issues and practices.  

-  Analyze line of business compensation strategies (including base pay, commissions, program rewards, incentives, etc.) to ensure consistency, legality, and equity individually as well as corporately.  Maintain all department incentive program policies and guidelines.  

-  Collaborate with HR Business consultants, line of business managers, and senior management to produce incentive plans that promote compensation, as well as corporate, strategy  

-  Assure market competitiveness of the organization’s compensation programs and practices  

-  Conduct training on compensation related programs such as merit planning, incentive market-pricing practices, and salary structure strategies (including broad banding)  

-  Provide support to review compensation matters during the due diligence process for acquisition/mergers  

-  Create management and employee communications’ i.e. compensation philosophy, practices, policies and revisions  

-  Keep abreast on compensation best practices, trends and changes in law  

-  Special projects as assigned  

Required Experience:  Human resources, business or finance degree and at least five to eight years of directly related experience.  Experience with Nation-wide organizations, job evaluation/market pricing and variable compensation coupled with a CCP designation preferred.  Strong understanding of US employment laws, HR information systems and data reporting.  

Skills: Outstanding analytical skills, proficiency with excel, word & powerpoint, demonstrated consultive and project management skills, and the ability to present information clearly and concisely required. Must be proactive and creative, research and analyze issues and formulate recommendations. Must be articulate and comfortable to negotiate and influence solutions with all stakeholders and communicate information & conclusions at the most senior levels.
