It will demonstrate how established models such as the Pathway to Violence and Fraud Triangle can be used to detect and deter the insider threat. The session will also briefly outline a few higher profile cases of insider threats and some of the motivations behind these types of threats. This session will explain the difference between targeted and affective violence and the differences between those making a threat and those posing a threat. Additionally, it will outline a number of warning behaviors leading to targeted violence.
