A New Perspective on Employee Benefits – How do you recruit and retain talent in today’s post-pandemic world?
The global pandemic upended the way we work and blurred the lines between our professional and personal lives. We can’t go back and need to acknowledge the interconnectedness of work and life. Anne Brandt, Executive Director of Lincoln Littles, Mike Feeken, Strategic Partnerships Advisor at First Five Nebraska, Diane Temme Stinton, CEO of TMCO, and Quentin Brown, Executive Director of Educare will address the problem of the fragmented early childhood care and education infrastructure and obstacles employers, businesses, and families are facing. They will discuss opportunities and solutions such as, care related benefits used as a tool for retaining and recruiting talent while contributing to a solid foundation for our future workforce.

Anne Brandt, Executive Director of Lincoln Littles
Anne Brandt is Executive Director of Lincoln Littles. She joined Lincoln Littles in January of 2020 after an 18-year career in education at Lincoln Public Schools. The opportunity to make a difference in the critical early years of children’s lives before they enter kindergarten is exciting and meaningful. Anne’s career at Lincoln Public Schools included teaching middle school reading, kindergarten, Reading Recovery and positions in Federal Programs and the Gifted department. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary, Middle and Secondary Education and her Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln as well as a Gifted Education endorsement from Doane University.
Anne’s husband, Brad, is the Manager of Forest Restoration Programs at Arbor Day Foundation. They have twins, Madalyn and Will, who will be juniors at St. Olaf College in Minnesota, a daughter, Caroline, who will be a senior at Lincoln High School, a yellow lab (Ellie) and a black lab (Frances). In her free time, she enjoys the mountains, the beach, reading, playing tennis and being with family and friends.
Mike Feeken, Strategic Partnerships Advisor at First Five Nebraska
Mike came to First Five Nebraska after spending more than 14 years as the economic development director in St. Paul, Neb., where he managed and coordinated retention, attraction and expansion efforts of the St. Paul business community. He has served in numerous local, regional and statewide organizations including Nebraska Economic Development Association (NEDA), South Central Economic Development District (SCEDD), Rotary and Central Nebraska Community Action Partnership (CNCAP). Mike was elected to the St. Paul City Council in 2020. Mike received a B.A. in Communication Production from Hastings College.
Diane Temme Stinton, PhD, CEO of TMCO
Diane Temme Stinton is the CEO of TMCO (Total Manufacturing Company) located in Lincoln, Nebraska. TMCO is a second-generation family business which specializes in contract metal manufacturing founded in 1974 by Roland Temme. The company is located just south of the Haymarket on 6th and J Streets and employs around 195 people. Born and raised in Lincoln, she holds degrees in German, International Studies, and Music and has also lived and studied in the United Kingdom and Germany. Temme Stinton is a local advocate for manufacturing and workforce development, serving as Lincoln area director of Dream It Do It! in Nebraska and tri-chair of Lincoln Manufacturing Council in cooperation with the Lincoln Partnership for Economic Development. TMCO has been the recipient of numerous awards for the work they do in the community and for innovative employee programs. TMCO received a 2019 Prosper Lincoln Step Up Award for their work on early childhood education.
Quentin Brown, MPA, Executive Director of Educare
Quentin is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University, where he obtained a Bachelor’s in Business Administration, and later a Master’s in Public Administration from Strayer University. Quentin started his career in non-profit leadership 20 years ago, and in June 2019 brought his effort and energy to Nebraska where he joined Educare Lincoln as their Executive Director. Educare is one of the nation’s most effective early childhood schools, that ensures young children from under-resourced communities have the best chance for success in life. Quentin is a man of faith who enjoys spending time with his wife, Karla, his colleagues, and friends.
