July Program July 14th, 12:00pm-1:00pm This meeting will be hosted via Zoom and the link will be sent to those who register for the program. Program Topic: Taking Your Organization from Now to New: Connecting People and Process As a member of an organization, we all want to see it go from where it is now to some place new. To take the organization someplace new requires change, and individual and organizational learning is a prerequisite. Process is important. Changing your organization requires more than putting people into a room and hoping something happens. Processes need to be used that engage the brain to maximize learning and provide the opportunity to share visions and mental models for change. People are different, yet they are all valuable and can contribute uniquely to the team if given the opportunity. An environment for effective communication is foundational to success. Presenter: Dave Gosselin Director of Environmental Studies and Professor at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Dave Gosselin believes we all have the capacity to be leaders and change someone’s life. Over the past 30 years, he has developed a passion for coaching, educating people, and modeling leadership for young people. Dave has coached soccer nearly 25 years from youth to college and was the United Soccer Coaches State Technical Coordinator for Nebraska for five years. His current work as Director of Environmental Studies, and Professor at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, has focused on the development of learning environments that better support the development of teamwork skills and improve the sharing of knowledge and expertise among people who may come from different backgrounds.
