Description:
If you could see your future, what steps would you take now to prepare for your next chapter? Join Nebraska Public Media, OLLI, and UNO’s Department of Gerontology for an online conversation on aging focused on caregiving and end-of-life planning, with information about all the resources available in Nebraska. This event will feature clips from Fast Forward, a new PBS documentary that takes a proactive look at aging. The discussion panel will include the film’s director Michael Eric Hurtig and some of the people featured, as well as experts on aging from around the state.
Event Sponsored By:
Presented in partnership with Nebraska Public Media, the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI), and the University of Nebraska Omaha’s Department of Gerontology, with additional support from Nebraska’s eight Area Agencies on Aging.
OLLI is the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, a membership-based organization of individuals interested in lifelong learning. OLLI offers courses for those age 50+…no tests or grades, just learning for the sake of learning! See olli.unl.edu for more information on this awesome organization, which is part of the College of Education & Human Sciences at UNL.
Note:
This program is great for employers, employees, and families! Employers are well aware the challenges faced by employees from a caregiving standpoint are greater today than ever before. This program will provide employees with invaluable tools to assist them in the caregiving process. For those employees who are not yet in a caregiving position, this is a wonderful event for families to watch and participate in together, providing information which will allow them to think ahead and prepare vs. being caught unaware as the aging process moves forward.
