Topic
Business-to-Business Town Hall: Employee Mental Health and Social Connectedness

Description
According to a survey circulated by the Mayor’s Economic Recovery Task Force, 75% of businesses in Lincoln want more opportunities to connect directly with one another and share information, experience, and resources on topics that are relevant and timely for the business community. In response to this desire for additional avenues for business-to-business (B2B) support and in accordance with the recommendations of the Mayor’s Economic Recovery Task Force, this event represents the first in a series of B2B town halls in which businesses exchange ideas and offerings in areas of mutual interest. The topic of the first town hall is Employee Mental Health and Social Connectedness. The program will feature participation by:

  • Gail Sutter, LMHP, CEAP, Executive Director of Continuum EAP, a nationally recognized, locally based provider of employee assistance programming and consultations
  • Samantha Dolezal, Wellbeing Advocate, Union Bank & Trust
  • Angela Garbacz, Chef/Owner of Goldenrod Pastries

These speakers will address the impacts of COVID-19 on employee mental health and social connectedness, the impacts of these challenges on employers, and strategies – including low-cost/no-cost strategies – that employers can readily implement to promote employee wellbeing. Business owners tuning in will have an opportunity to ask questions and engage in discussion on this topic. A recording of the event will be made available after the event has aired.
