Expanding Talent Pools: Supporting Women in the Workplace
COVID-19 has affected our workforce and talent pipelines with American women enduring the most job losses. Since the beginning of the pandemic, women have said their lives had been disrupted from home life to career life, with a lot of intersectionality between the two. Employers have a unique opportunity to support women and their families through access to childcare. Without effective support in place, women will continue to experience a slower recovery than men when it comes to re-entering the workforce.
Join the Lincoln Partnership for Economic Development, Lincoln Littles, and First Five Nebraska to learn how your organization can effectively support women currently in your organization and as you recruit more. During the session, we will discuss how COVID has affected women in the workforce, best practices, how to increase support, and success stories of community collaboration.
Guest Speakers
– Anne Brandt, Executive Director of Lincoln Littles
– Mike Feeken, Strategic Partnerships Advisor at First Five Nebraska
