Workplace Incivility

Description:
Learn ways to approach or coach to difficult behaviors when they happen in your workplace. What can you control when communication breaks down, and how to react and respond appropriately so that you maintain your professionalism.

Objectives:

  • Discuss behaviors that affect relationships in a negative way
  • Explain the role of intention v.s perception
  • Recognize ways to react and respond appropriately

Credits:
This program is valid for 1 PDCs toward SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP recertification.

Melissa Carpenter has been in the Human Resources field for 20 years with a focus on Employee Relations and Organizational Development. She received her Bachelors from the University of Nebraska Lincoln. She has a strong focus on the “Human” part of Human Resources believing that employees are the greatest asset to any organization. She is passionate about helping leaders with complex issues and believes that with every difficult situation there is growth, you just have to be willing to see it.
