Understanding Background Checks and Best Practices for HR
Dismissed charges, final disposition and disposition dates, county, federal and amended charges… what do all these mean? It’s easy to get lost in the world of background screening, especially if you aren’t a seasoned Court Clerk! There are many actions that fall under the definition of a criminal offense. Some are easy to identify and others are not that obvious. Each state has its own set of rules, not to mention the federal and county laws. So, how do you decipher all this information?
During this webinar, Neal Josten from One Source The Background Check Company will break down the basics of a background check, including best practices before and after running a pre-employment screen. We will look into differences between open cases, amended, dismissed, felonies, misdemeanors, how to read and interpret the results, and much more
